1. Apply oil or light oil to the bearing installation position on shaft 073

2. Install the grease retaining ring 046, and use the flange face of the grease retaining ring to counter the axle block

3. Install the bearing cone 009 onto the shaft and counter the grease retaining ring with the big end of the cone.

To preheat the bearing inner race, (preheating is not allowed to exceed 250 ° F) we recommend immersing at least one part of the boiling solution mixed with water soluble oil and 100 parts of water. Make the shaft in a vertical position, press the heated bearing inner ring onto the shaft and lean against the grease retaining ring.

4. The installation of another grease retaining ring and bearing inner race is the same as above.

be careful:

It is important that not only the grease retaining ring is tightly pressed against the axle block, but also the bearing inner race is tightly pressed against the grease retaining ring. This should be checked after the bearing cools down.

5. Spray the bearing with dehydrating agent to remove all moisture.
